Before sending us your work:
- No first drafts. No lumpy pumpkins. You should only hire an editor when you feel you’ve done as much as you can on your own and when you know your story, its characters, and its themes inside out.
- Ensure all documents are formatted in Times New Roman, size 12, 1.5 line spacing.
- For creative work, indicate the total word count of the piece, and send a sample of 1200 words for us to edit free of charge. This way you can get a feel for our editing style, and decide if we’re the right match for your work. Please also attach a short synopsis of no longer than 500 words, and anything else you feel is vital to your work. For example, you may want us to know the intention behind the work, what inspired it, or the target market / publications.
- We will let you know how long the job will take to complete. Documents between 50-100k words will typically be returned to you within two to four weeks, and smaller documents between one and two weeks.

Payment
All payment is done through PayPal. We’ll ask you to pay 40% of the bill upfront, and 60% when the job is complete. For example, if your total bill is £350, we will charge you an initial payment of £140 and a further £210 when the job is complete.
